I'm just very frustrated my small shop has such a hard time getting quality / OEM parts while big asses like MediaMarkt and Vandenborre keep "repairing" stuff on a large scale in this shitty manner.ĭynafix from mediamarkt sucks, and asogem sucks aswell. Premature edit: this sounds very bashy, but I really don't wanna be bashing you or any consumer that made this choice. Few good small shops still actually give a shit tho. A disaster to get repaired again.Įlectronics repair is utterly fucked. My "favorite" MediaMarkt repairs: iPads that got a new LCD and were glued shut with super glue instead of two sided tape. I've had some MediaMarkt "repairs" pass through my shop in the last 5 years. Probably your laptop goes to DynaFix now, which is the big "OEM" repair centre in BeNeLux that most big brands use for official repairs (but at 15 euros an hour, those techs are likely not motivated to really help you, at least that's what I noticed in the three times I had to deal with them myself). Result: laptop thinks it's 255 degrees and throttles down. Some of my favorite laptops are HP's and Lenovo's older business model, like the T420, T430 and the Probook 650 G1.Įven the 650 G2 is a bit harder to service than the 650 G1, and the newer T480 and T490 are basically the same thin and light crap seen everywhere these days.įrom the symptoms I suspect they ripped the trackpad cable, that's where some of the temp sensors are. As I said, I dont really understand how you can fuck the keyboard up when the only thing you want to replace is the battery (The whole slow laptop thing can be explained by the off brand battery not feeding enough power or the Macbook thinking it's gonna diany second now), if it was on one of those Lenovo B50s where you have to dissasemble the whole laptop to access ram and storage, I can see that happening, but on a Macbook ? But still, if Apple offered a cheaper option than 200e, then OP wouldn't have to go to Mediamarkt for it, especially for a battery which is going to fail at some point or another. Warranty is great and all, until your laptop dies 25 months after purchase, then you're on your own. It was a sad confrontational reminder why i almost never shop there This all took like half a hour and an insanely exhausting amount of energy and arguing to just return a perfect product and get my money back. It was 2 against one and luckily im a very assertive person, but i can imagine if they put that kind of pressure to a more insecure person they will simply give in. they pushed on to reimburse me with vouchers in stead of just give my money back. Then after being disappointed it was in absolute perfect condition and so they had to take it back. then they investigated it with 2 people as if like with microscopes to hope to find even a micro nano meter of scratch to decline it. Upon my request i was received with borderline hostility that i wanted to return it. I didn't like the sound quality and went to return it the next day, their website claims to have a smooth return policy if you have the invoice and the product intact.wich as the case, i even carefully opened the box so every thing looked just spotless. Had kind of a similar situation,i buy most of my stuff online and avoid these kind of retailers for good reason.but one day i was looking for a good Bluetooth speaker, and Mediamarket happened to have a nice promotion.
